يعد معبد مانيانغاما راجا مها فيهارايا، المنحوت في كهف صخري ضخم على بعد 4 كم فقط من أبيساويلا، شهادة على صمود سريلانكا. دمره الغزاة البرتغاليون ثم رممه الملك كيرثي سري راجاسينها (1747-1782 م)، ويمزج هذا المعبد بشكل متناغم بين الفن البوذي والهندوسي، ويتميز بجداريات نادرة، وتمثال بوذا متكئ، وحتى صورة لفيشنو.
